Case Manager 6.0 Upgrade: Extensions

The Extension Framework in Case Manager 6 was changed to version 3. New versions of the standard extensions (that is, extension versions starting with 3) are available. All custom extensions should also be upgraded to make use of Case Manager 6 DLLs.

During the upgrade to Case Manager 6 all installed extensions are deactivated. You will not be able to activate an extension that is on the incorrect extension framework version. Extensions not applicable can be removed from the list, and those still relevant should be upgraded to a newer version. Note that some of the standard Case Manager functionality have been moved to extensions:

Attachment File Share

The attachment functionality is no longer available by default in Case Manager, and should be included by adding the Attachment File Share extension. This move was done to allow a client to replace this functionality with the extension that allows FTP-based attachments. On sites making use of the file share-based attachment, the Attachment File-Share (ATTFS) extension should be installed manually. As part of the upgrade the Attachment Location setting was deprecated in the Case Manager Settings. It should now be set in the Extension Settings. During the installation of the ATTFS extension this file-path setting will be copied from the old location in the Case Manager settings.

Employer Confirmation

The action button for the Employer Confirmation Wizard has been removed from the standard Case Manager functionality and is now available as a separate extension. Clients making use of this wizard will require a manual installation of the Employer Confirmation (EMPCONF) extension.
